Along the way, they realized: the most vulnerable people online have the least protection.
Mark spent years in law enforcement as a Detective Sergeant, investigating crimes against the most vulnerable, children and the elderly. He has seen what predators do when no one is watching. He became a cybersecurity leader because he believed technology could prevent those crimes before they happen. That conviction has never left him.
For Keith, it became personal from two directions at once. As a secondary caregiver supporting his sister in looking after their elderly mother, he watched the gaps in the system expose her to online risk. And as a father of young children, he felt the weight of a connected world that was not built with their safety in mind. Two generations. The same vulnerability. The same isolation.
The breaking point came when Keith reached out to Mark after hearing a broadcast about a school shooting. Without hesitation, they both said the same thing: “We can fix this. We need to fix this. We must fix this.”
